What is this?

The Collagist is a personal newsletter, for now, with the potential to become something bigger (like a collaborative community publication or collective media hub, perhaps). There is no consistent theme nor topic, but every post typically includes self-reflections, philosophical ideas, and observations of the world we live in today.

The only guarantee is that there is and will be no use of A.I. (Artificial Intelligence). All thoughts here are birthed from a human mind and written/typed by human hands. Any editing is done by human eyes. Specifying this may seem silly for some, but it is necessary for a time we are quickly progressing towards.

May this be a space for connection and dialogue beyond the screen.

Who are you, though?

My name is Celina Kim Chapman (she, her, hers), henceforth known as CKC. I received my B.A. in English and French, with a double minor in Fashion and International Studies from St. John's University (Queens, NY). During my time at school, I was a writing consultant for my university's writing center. After graduating in 2020, I have taken on many roles — grocery store security guard, freelance editor, events manager, UGC creator, and server/ waitress.

Now, along with being a writer, I am an actress and model based in NYC. As a mixed Korean-American, I am inspired by cross-cultural humans who live within multiple identities.

This site is solely for writing. For any other collabs / partnership requests more aligned with my other skills, please see my portfolio here.
